Pat
and Tom Tompkins, Volunteers of the Year
The sixth
annual Ager Association Volunteer(s) of the Year Award was given
to Tom and Pat Tompkins at the fall membership meeting held
at the L.E. Phillips Senior Center on October 19, 2007. Borgny
Ager, the recipient of last year’s award, surprised
the couple with the presentation.
Members
of the Board of Directors of the Ager Association are delighted
that this year’s award is designated, for the first time,
in the “plural” – honoring this couple who
faithfully support the association with their service. In addition
to serving on the Board in the positions of “Director”
and “President” for several terms, Tom led the effort
to restore the Ager House and continues to work toward its completion.
Working
side by side with Tom, Pat has been an integral part of the
restoration crew – removing the old plaster, cleaning
up the debris, and painting the new surfaces. In addition to
her hard work with renovation, Pat is always available to assist
with serving at various functions and is the person who keeps
the house “polished up” for special events.
Congratulations
to Tom and Pat Tompkins, Ager Association Volunteers of the
Year!
