Thank You to Gary Gandrud, Our Guest Speaker
This year’s Syttende Mai program featured Gary Gandrud, the Norwegian Honorary Consul General in Minneapolis. Mr. Gandrud is a founding member of the Norwegian American Foundation, former president of the Board of Trustees at Vesterheim Museum, and former president of the Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce in Minneapolis. He is partner in the law firm of Faegre & Benson in Minneapolis. In January 2010 he succeeded Vice President Walter Mondale as Honorary Consul General. Gandrud’s many experiences give him much insight into how we can strengthen the ties between Norway and the U.S.
