The 2008 Long-Range Plan
(Request a copy)

On Monday, January 28, 2008, members and past-members of the Ager Board met to do long-range planning for the Association. During our five-hour session, we considered goals in six areas: finances, membership, the building, programs, publications, and presence in the community. We decided to focus our attention on three—membership, programming, and publications.

We reviewed the accomplishments of the association since our last long-range plan in 2003, and we identified remaining challenges and opportunities. After we identified several goals in each area, we established action plans for three specific goals. Finally, we spent about thirty minutes dreaming about our visions for the Ager Association in ten or fifteen years.

If you would like to have a copy of the notes from our Monday morning session, I will be happy to send you a copy. Just contact me by email (hirschtj@uwec.edu). If you would like to see a copy of the long-range plan we created in 2003, ask for that too.

Thank you for your membership in the Ager Association and for your interest in its future.

Tim Hirsch
Ager Board Member
